    Flu season

    We are now taking appointments for free flu jabs. If you are over 65 or under 65 at risk (you have a chronic disease) or you are pregnant or a carer, please contact the practice to make an appointment. This year more than ever, it is important to be immunised. Patients 50-64 who are not at risk, will be invited to have a free jab once we have received guidance from NHS England, we expect this to be around January 2021 and only if there are sufficient vaccines.

    Extended access service

    From 1st October 2018 patients can book GP/nurse appointments during the evenings and at weekends. NB: this is not at your registered practice with your own gp/practice nurse. To book an appointment please contact the practice. You cannot be seen for Insurance reports Cytology (smears) Fitness to work certificates or to obtain opiate medication. No home visits will be offered

    Average GP earnings 2016-2017

    All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The mean earnings for GPs working in The village Medical Centre in the financial year ended 31st December 2016 was £50.347 before deduction of employees superannuation contributions, tax and national insurance. This is the average pay for the 3 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months during the year.
