You still need to wear a face covering in GP practices after 19 July

Welcome To The Practice

Why are GPs needing to work differently?

GPs, their teams, and patients have faced an extremely challenging time during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite lockdown measures lifting the pandemic is still not over.

Face-to-face contact has been limited across all NHS services to protect you and keep you safe from the risk of infection.

We want to be honest with you. General practice will continue to struggle to meet the growing needs of patients.

This isn’t the way we want it to be, but practices are open, and we are here for you when you need us.

The covid-19 vaccine roll-out is starting. Find out about the roll-out at nhs.uk/covidvaccine

The NHS is currently offering the COVID-19 vaccine to people most at risk from coronavirus.

The order in which people will be offered the vaccine is based on advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).

The NHS will let you know when it's your turn to have the vaccine. It's important not to contact the NHS for a vaccination before then.

You can read more about the COVID-19 vaccine on the nhs.uk website.
